My grandfather Bob Peterka was granted peace and moved on to a far better place along side my grandmother Anne. He passed on Friday morning so the family packed up and left for Sioux Falls Saturday morning. We used our time to make arrangements and have some quality time with family. Bob's funeral was Monday and then we hit the road again, so Jack would be able to only miss a small amount of school. The circumstances were sad but the trip became a reunion of sorts and the boys got a chance to play and see all kinds of family.
Hi Joni, so many sad blog posts. :o( I am sorry to hear about your grandpa Bob passing away. Hopefully the memories you have will live on forever. It seems like he also got lots of time to spend time with your boys- so precious. Take care- Rose
ReplyDeleteYes, it seems like the boys have had a lot of life lessons of death lately. They seem to deal with it mostly well. I thought they were too young to understand it but after Jack's reaction to Bob's death, I can tell they comprehend more then we think.
