St. Louis Here We Come.

3-27-2015. Wow, the St. Louis City Museum is crazy!!! We went in the evening one of the nights that we were in town for HFA's annual meeting. We didn't begin to see everything it had to show. It is a place every person should see, it is not hemophilia or little kid friendly but we still had a blast with our family.
The boys sitting in a drawer of the hotel dresser enjoying a complimentary check-in cookie. Our hotel room was tiny, thank goodness we didn't hardly spend anytime in it.
The Gateway Arch is a 630-foot monument in St. Louis, Missouri. Clad in stainless steel and built in the form of an inverted, weighted catenary arch, it is the world's tallest arch, the tallest monument in the Western Hemisphere, and Missouri's tallest accessible building. Built as a monument to the westward expansion of the United States, it is the centerpiece of the Jefferson National Expansion Memorial and has become an internationally famous symbol of St. Louis. The arch sits at the site of St. Louis' founding on the west bank of the Mississippi River. The boys had fun riding the little pod to the top and looking at all the barges on the Mississippi. Neil and I will always remember this visit to the arch because of what happened after we came down from the top and we were getting ready to take some cliche pictures standing at the base. The boys were stir crazy after being contained in the arch for a bit, so Ty started running around in circles...well the grounds were all under construction and the area had several dirt/mud spots. Ty turned too fast and his feet slid out from under himself and he landed in the mud flat on his back. He was covered in thick, stinky mud from head to toe. Mom spent almost an hour trying to clean his clothes best as possible in the tub, as this was the only coat packed for Ty to wear.
