Iowa City Appointment Time.

4-13-2015. So it once again was time for another Iowa City appointment for Ty. Today Jack had no school, so I got to take all three boys to the appointment. Ty's blood draws did not go very well and we got some disturbing news about some of his past blood work...which we still don't really understand. Happy Birthday Dad!

Sand Fun.

4-10-2015. Who needs the hassle of a toy sand box, when kids would much rather play in a whole court of sand. After a visit to the Grimes Library for story time with Miss Janet, we unpacked our sand toys on the sand volley ball court. Boys love to dig with shovels and in a small toy sand box that is almost impossible. We have made several trips to parks to do this and every time the boys get an hour of sand play and I don't have to worry about cleaning up sand again for a few more weeks.

Tuff Guy Ty.

Best Buds.

4-5-2015. Mitch and Conner have been best buds for over 7 years now. Conner has been starting to go down hill starting in April. He won't eat regular dog food, only table scraps and A.B.C. (Already Been Chewed)dog food. But he still wants to play with toys and even had dad swinging him around while he held on. We know his time with us will end soon and I think Mitch knows that too.

Colby Park Ride.

4-1-2015. Mom has added a new destination to her usual kido hot spots. We start on bike at our favorite place Campbell Park and ride a few miles east to Colby Park in Windsor Heights. The park has nice rest rooms, fun playground and even tennis courts for Jack...some day he will have to join us for the ride.

Jester Park Peace.

5-8-2015. It was time to venture back to Jester park for our usual run to the Natural Plascape and back to the playground routine. The boys love the view of the trees, birds, golfers and critters while mom gets a little exercise and peace of mind. The boys don't have to sit too long because we break to ride up by playing for a while at the playscape before going back and letting loose at the playground. We pack lunches and snacks so we get to spend a lot of time at the park and don't have to worry about rushing home. But when we do get home the boys always take a great nap after our fun peaceful morning.

Jack's 1st Spring Concert.

5-4-2015. Jack is not much of a singer or performer but he did have fun at the Assumption Spring concert.

The Easter Bunny Visits.

4-5-2015. The boys hunt and find the gifts the Easter Bunny has left for them outside. The Easter Bunny brought all the boys their own work boots, so they all have something to wear while the yard gets tore up for the house addition. Hopefully we have a good work crew on our hands!

Easter Eggstravaganza in Grimes.

4-4-2015. Every year since Jack was able to walk, we have attended the Grimes Easter Eggstravaganza. The boys have a great time because it is so much more then an Easter Egg hunt. The event has all kinds of games, bounce houses, playground fun, firetrucks and ambulances, food and of course candy and prizes. We have yet to win a prize, but odds say with three boys we are bound to win something sometime!

For the second year now, we have met up with our friends: The Blair's, after the egg hunt. We ate, played and then made a trip to "The Farm". The boys all got to ride a horse for the first time and ride and climb every kind of farm equipment imaginable.
