Mac had his one year well child visit and then we ate at the Pizza Ranch and topped off the trip to Ankeny with a stop to some fun Ankeny Parks. Within short walking distance we stumbled upon the construction site of the new Miracle Park Playground. The playground was fully assembled but was missing the rubber flooring, so it was blocked off and had signs saying to stay off of the equipment. Well, I broke the rules...and the boys and I ran around like crazy, exploring and trying out all the cool new gadgets, gizmos and awesome slides. This is by far the neatest and most enriching park I have ever seen. I have never seen anything like it before. We will have to go there again, now that the park is open for business :-)
