Greenbelt Park.
6-2-2015.
Today we went for a ride to Greenbelt Park. Many times we have passed this park on the trail, but have never stopped to play here. It was just the right distance for Jack, its 7-8 miles there and back from Campbell park. Then the boys always get to finish the trip at there favorite park and nicest restrooms :-)
But one warning I have is Greenbelt park does NOT have a restroom and of course Ty needed to go once we got there.
Nebraska Annual Chapter Meeting
5-29--5-31-2015.
We decided to try out a Nebraska Hemophilia chapter event in the Omaha area. We attended a mini golf night but had to leave early due to a rain storm...the boys did not mind leaving early; that just meant more time in the hotel pool. The next day Mom and Dad spent the day in meetings while the boys had fun making new friends, creating crafts and other excitements of daycare. The boys ended the day with Skylanders in a Game Truck and a wicked game of BINGO filled with all kinds of awesome prizes. The next day we spent at the batting cages and the boys got specialized lessons alongside a former Pro baseball player, who also was a hemophiliac.
Summer Time.
5-27 & 5-28-2015.
Jack now thinks that everyday of the summer we are going to do something special. We are so far on quite a roll. First Jack and Ty went to gymnastics, mom took Mac to the park. Then we all made a trip to the Grimes library to pick out a new bag of books and play with their new toys. Then we made it out to the sand court to play in the sun. The next day we started off the day at our neighborhood pond fishing. This was the only fish we could take a picture of, 2 other fish were so big that they broke our line. I guess we need to get new line, rated for more then 6 pounds!
Shorts Weather.
5-26-2015.
So Ty doesn't bruise more just because it's getting warmer out, everyone just seems to notice it more because he is wearing shorts. This is his normal, even with his every 4 day infusion regimen. If you ask him if they hurt he says no, but if you touch them he will often flinch.
Happy Mother's Day.
5-25-2015.
Mom got her Mother's Day present from Turkey today. It is a 3 sting necklace. One plate says:"Love my Boys", another says "N+J= Love" and the last pendant has a monogram of the 3 boys' initials.
You guys are the best!
Jack's 1st trip to Jester Park for the Summer.
5-22-2015.
1st day a free man from kindergarten, Jack choose to spend the day at Jester Park. We went for a steamy ride to the playscape, splashed in the water and then headed back for fun at the playground. This trip was made especially long because mom had dropped Mac's wet shorts on the way back to the playground so we had to double back.Jack always touches my heart on these adventures because he always makes a point to tell me how much he likes spending time together like this.

Jack's Last Day of Kindergarten.
5-21-2015.
Wow. My baby Jack has just completed his first year of real school, kindergarten. Now, what will 1st grade be like?
R.I.P. Conner
5-18-2015.
Conner passed away. He was our first baby and we got to love him for 11 years. He was really doing pretty bad for about 2 weeks. He lost a lot of weight and just slept all the time. We knew his time was coming to an end, but I don't think Neil or I knew it would hurt this bad. He was just a dog right?...no he has shared so much with us and he will never be forgotten.
Patio Playtime.
5-17-2015.
What am I going to do without my screened in patio this summer? With our addition plans, the patio is going to be tore down to make room for a new bedroom and office. Summer is just not going to be the same without it. Boys say goodbye to the back yard for the next few months.
Cartoon Time.
5-14-2015.
Mac and Ty were feeling a bit wore out, so they got an extra cartoon time. Of course Paw Patrol or Blaze was requested and juice and Goldfish crackers were the perfect accompaniment.
Kitty Kitty Mac.
5-12-2015.
Mom was doing the usual; tidying up, laundry, helping boys go potty...when I noticed that Mac wasn't making much noise in the basement. He had gone down by himself to play, but mom didn't here much playing going on, so she decided to check things out. Here is what she found: Mac was laying in Jack's window sill with a pillow, stuffed animal and teether. I guess he felt like lounging around like a cat.
Bike Ride to Slater.
5-3-2015.
Dad had some projects to tackle around the house so mom took the boys for a bike ride on High Trestel Trail. Ty and Mac road in the trailer and Jack road his own bike. We started in Madrid and road to Slater, where there is a nice park for the boys to play. Do you remember these horse swings from when you were a kid? I do. You guessed it, Mac got smacked in the face by one when he walked to close behind Jack as he was swinging. After about an hour of playing we turned around and headed back. Jack road 14 miles that day! Absolutely a record for him!
Grimes Annual Fireman's Pancake Breakfast.
5-2-2015.
I have always been a huge fan of pancake breakfasts since I remember going to the Lion's Club breakfast in Sioux Falls when I was just a kid. Ever since Jack was a baby, we have attended the breakfast held by the Grimes fire department every year. Each year it get better and bigger then the previous. This year the sausage was the piece de resistance, it was donated by a meat locker that Neil now has friend-ed on Facebook to get special orders.
