Almost every year HOI has a First Steps event in Williamsburg, IA at the water park.
This year the family had to split up to make the trip, but it was so worth it!
Jack had his first basket ball game/practice of the season, so Dad and Jack stayed in town while mom took off toward Williamsburg with Mac and Ty. Mom and the boys got to have a nice family dinner with other families in our group and then start the lecture portion of our day, with a hands-on infusion workshop. It was great to see how all these young kids deal in their own brave ways with this ridiculous disorder. Then Dad and Jack arrived just in time to see Santa and get a lovely stocking full of all kinds of their favorite things, Jack and Ty were most excited about their new chap-sticks. After Santa left, it was water park time. Of course it was a blast. Ty must have gone down the big slides 50 times. Mac liked shooting hoops the most, while Jack just likes doing everything. It was a wonderful family fun day!
