Sioux Empire Fair.
8-2-2014.
On our last trip back to Sioux Falls, Jack and Ty went to the fair with everyone but Mom and Mac. (Everyone being: G'Ma Ruby, G'Pa Romaine, Uncle Matt and Cousin Abbie) Mom and Mac spent part of the day with G'ma Darla and Great G'pa Bob.
Mom & Mac go to Big Creek.
7-26-2014.
On this day mom and dad split up the boys. Dad took Ty and Jack mini golfing, on a trip to watch airplanes take off and land at the airport and then lunch at Tasty Taco. Mom took Mac for a jog to big creek and play time on the playground. It was the longest jog mom has ever taken a child on, about 13 miles total. It ended up being a pretty warm day, so everyone was ready for naps that day.
Bath Time.
7-24-2014.
The boys actually prefer taking a bath together most evenings. We almost need a bigger tub.
Ty Turns 3.
7-21-2014.
This was the day Ty turned 3. We asked him what he wanted to do and he said he wanted to go for a hike. So the whole family got to spend a hot day at Ledges State Park. Ledges State Park is a state park of Iowa, located approximately 4 miles south of the city of Boone. The park contains a sandstone gorge carved by Pea's Creek, a tributary of the Des Moines River. We played in the creek a long time and the boys had fun investigating and discovering all sorts of neat things. We found and caught: minnows, a crawfish, a grasshopper and even a mouse. Afterward we headed into Boone for a Pizza Ranch lunch, even with sand in our britches.

Iowa City/ Waterloo Here We Come.
7-13-2014
Ty had an appointment in Iowa City, so we combined it with a HOI family education weekend in Waterloo.
First the boys did good at the appointment and got to play at the new playground at the hospital. Then we trucked over to Waterloo. We stopped at Lost Island Park to do some go cart racing. Then we enjoyed a nice meal at a Mexican restaurant and then next watched The Water Hawks water ski show. Finally we checked in to our hotel. After a long day and a long evening of events the boys were bushwhacked and ready for bed. The next day we got up bright and early and headed over to our HOI event. Mom and dad got to listen to a speaker and the boys had fun doing crafts and whatnot in childcare. Then it was time for Lost Island Water Park. Oh My, it was too much fun!!! We ran around that place all day and would have staid longer if any of us had an ounce more of energy. Thankfully dad drove us all safely home and Ty feel asleep on the rug as he was walking into the house...seriously passed out hardcore. Mom and dad didn't have to read any bedtime stories that night :-)

7-13-2014.
Our neighbor and friend Marie took the whole family to an I - Cubs game. It was really hot, but the boys had a great time.
1st Night of Bam- Bam Baseball.
7-10-2014.
jack had his 1st night of Bam-Bam Baseball. He did great at bat, and almost always was paying attention to the ball. Mac didn't watch most of the game, he was more interested in playing at the playground.

Another Adventureland Day.
7-3-2014.
On this trip to Adventureland mom and the boys went to the circus. Everyone loved it, especially Mac. It is perfect to sit, relax and have a chance to eat lunch before going over to the water park. On this day it was not warm enough for the water park but we ended up with a mad dash through the park after the show. Mac ended up having some kind or horrible allergic reaction as the show was wrapping up. He started with some big red blotches on his cheeks then his face began to swell. His eyes were about swollen shut, he wouldn't stop crying and moaning, his nose started running and the redness spread all over his face and the back of his head and ears. They sold Claritin at the front of the park for $15 for a teeny tiny bottle. I bought it and gave him the max dose and then helped flush his system with a giant bottle on the train. By the time the train ride was over he was almost back to normal and feeling much better. Then everyone (mostly mom) could breath again and enjoy a ride on the carousel. We have come to the conclusion that Mac was having a reaction to the barrage of vaccines he received at the doctors office the day before.
