Today the family visited the Omaha zoo. Ty's favorite part was feeding the fish and ducks and Jack said his favorite was either the loud monkeys or the sharks in the aquarium. I liked the orangutan that snapped his fingers and motioned for you to give him something threw the netting.

Neil had to work in Omaha Friday, so the boys and I hitched a ride. The hotel we stayed in had a big pool with a splash park and a water slide. Jack swims really well on his own with his life jacket on, so well that he was pushing Ty around in his floaty. Ty likes to glide around on the top of the water like he is trying to swim.

To keep cool, we went to the mall to play. This was Ty's first time in a mall playground. Ty had a blast and Jack is now a parkour expert. What age is too old for a mall playground? Jack just turned 3, but I almost felt like he was too big...but yet you see 12 year old's playing in there sometimes.

I started dressing Ty in bloomers or nappy pants to help keep him cool. With his knee pads and "hat" he gets sweaty quickly. I have also taken the initiative to sew my own baby boy bloomers, with each par I sew my skills get just a bit better. ( I think sewing will be my newest addiction.)

The family cooling off in a creek at Ledges State Park. It has become a tradition to go for a hike and then have a "pizza party" at the Pizza Ranch in Boone. Jack can hike over 2 miles before he starts to get tired and Ty enjoys the view from his Kelty backpacking carrier.
